Merry Winter...No school in the state of Georgia!

I bet if you live in the state of Georgia your kids have no school today. It's not a snow day...we only have a dusting of snow. But it was 16 degrees and has warmed up to 20 now at noon. There is ice. Anywhere else this wouldn't be a problem but here in Atlanta they don't have enough trucks and equipment to salt the roads...this weather is very rare. It's perfect timing though...my family always wonders why in the world there is work/school the day after the National Championship (college football) that doesn't end until midnight. Last night was a good game. I spent my last year and half of high school in Enterprise, Alabama (Ft. Rucker) and graduated from Enterprise High School...so I was rooting for the Tide to win. I did go to Kindergarten in Kileen, Texas (Ft. Hood) and spent three of my Air Force years in San Antonio but still...Alabama.

Here is a picture of the white dresser in my living room...it's one of my favorite pieces of furniture...got it free back in my junking days in Germany.

I printed 'Merry Winter' and framed it. Printed 'snowflakes' and stitched it. I love free and cheap crafts! Merry Winter!

I saw where Atlanta had a 27 car pile up on one of their highways. Crazy weather!

That white dresser is beautiful!

Much to my son's disappointment - only three counties closed in this part of the state. We have made it to 33 deg at 1:00 but nothing iced. We did not hit freezing until early this morning. Enjoy the "snow" day!

No snow for us so I was disappointed but we had school. Yes it is cold and windy down here.

I just saw an old dresser I liked and thought about getting it but since I am going to the mountains tonight I will wait and look up that way.

Love free things!

Love your crafts as always! Very talented you are Jenni.

Have a good weekend!

I too was for Alabama. Way to go!
I dislike Texas very very much!
We had snow about 2 to 3 inches.
And, it is very cold outside. It will be this entire weekend.
Love, Onalee

Hi there, just thought I'd leave a little comment to say how sweet I think your 'snowflake' stitching is - it's lovely!
We are experiencing extreme cold weather here in the UK too, it's brought everything to a virtual standstill! Hope you have a great weekend,

Your blog is adorable!!!I think I stumbled upon it from Bless our Nest. Your mantle idea with the 2010 is SO CUTE!!!! And I am loving your white table. We recently moved into a new home and had the entire house painted in shades of gray. Benjamon Moore Edgecomb Gray, Wedgewood Gray and Rockport Gray. Is Elephant Gray a BM color?
