using up my scraps

All you need is a cheap floursack towel and a scrap of fabric. I used a piece of the cute tree fabric left from Madi's shirt and then stitched 'fall'. Here I thought I had an original idea but then peeked at the Moda Bake Shop and they were making towels too....so check them out for other ideas.
Years ago I stitched these cute blocks for each month. But mine was really primitive so I redid September and used scraps again from Madi's shirt and my purse I made last week to make a more modern September. Stitching is fun for all but especially easy for moms of little ones....I stitch while sitting on the toilet watching my kids play in the tub, I sit in their rooms and watch them play and stitch, if you can find a McDonald's with a park...that's at least an hour jackpot, sitting in the car waiting to pick up kids, gymnastics....I never just sit at home and stitch unless it's late at night and I am watching TV. So look for all that stitching time....it's there.

I REALLY like that tree print.

I've been crocheting up a storm...I think I'm going to use some of my crochet projects for my Christmas cards this year...

I think you should open you own Etsy shop and start selling your little creations:)

I love them both! That towel is amazing! :) Okay, you know how for a year I have been saying I am going to stitch something (and finish it!)? Well I finally really did it! I think it's okay for a first! :)And I have hope that someday they will look like yours, if I just keep working at it! :)

I always enjoy seeing what you stitch, Jeni! I hope you are having a good week! :)

What darling things you made with your scraps this season Jeni! Right now my Miss Priss takes up all the 'free' time I have of waiting to pick up Bryce, sitting at soccer games, park visits, etc... She's too little to leave on her own to roam around so no stitching here yet during those times you mentioned, but soon though... I can see it on the horizon in a few years! ;) Until then~ I LOVE seeing what you come up with! So much fun!
