Table of Trees

I LOVE all my things I have collected from around the world. Here you can see a nutcracker I picked up in Germany and to the right side of that I have some Japanese dolls from when I was stationed at Yokota AB, Japan (Tokyo).

The silver tree is fully loaded with old little wooden German ornaments....another flea market treasure from Wiesbaden, Germany.

My kids adore their cat Orange Juice. They asked me to take his picture while he was snuggled up to Santa.

It's December 1st and I am doing good! Last night I started wrapping presents for the kids. For one I think a tree looks prettier with a few gifts under it and second I can't stand for Christmas to be right around the corner and being rushed to get things wrapped. Plus my kids love counting, looking and guessing what is in all those boxes.
On my cousin Betsy's blog a couple of weeks ago she posted how filling her gas tank for $38 rocked her world....now this past weekend I filled mine for $28.50!....so I am rocking around the Christmas tree singing How Low Can You Go. That is a $50 savings for me from a few months ago. Perfect timing with Christmas.

It's a gorgeous Christmas EXPLOSION of neat and nifty things on your table! Love it all girl!
I need to wrap some, too.
My poor trees look so lonely and empty compared to the bottom of yours!!!
We need to have another cup of coffee shared via the phone. It's been awhile since we properly caught up. I feel a long Leslie message coming your way....
Pull up a chair chica! ;)
Love ya, Les

Your holiday treasures from around the world are just beautiful!!

It is funny that you say this about the gas tank...I just filled up for $36 and thought...WOW...just a couple months ago I was paying $70-80...that is a major improvement!!

Just read your note about the Barefoot Bloggers...I did not know there was such a group....I will try to google them. I have been a fan of hers for a long time!!

Have a good night!

Awwww- that is my favorite part about getting the decorations out of the boxes- remembering who or where I got them from. Your mantle is amazing as usual!!

I love all of your collections, but your mantle always takes the cake! I was wondering what word you would use this time! I love the old irons used as stocking hangers!

Your decorations look great. I love how you've collected things from around the world.

I'm also loving the gas prices. It was costing me $60 to fill up now it's only $30. Extra money for Christmas. :-)

Hi Jeni~
I know I already commented on this post, but I just saw your comment on the tooth fairy post. I absolutely DID deny the tooth fairy was not real by saying that I would definitely NOT be playing tooth fairy that night. She said, "Pinky swear?" to which I responded by pinky swearing! (My husband always plays tooth fairy, so this was entirely true!)Then she said, "Then Daddy will do it!" (She's too quick, this one.) We didn't lie, but we didn't 'fess up either. I can't believe she's lost her belief in the tooth fairy before she even put her first tooth under the pillow!

First of all, I love your antique irons in your blog header ~ such a neat idea!

I too collect nutcrackers. Each time my husband travels, I ask him to bring one home.

Happy Holidays!
