All this because of priceline.com! It started when we were going to Florida. Usually our hotel of choice is the Hampton Inn where ever we go. Steve wanted to try something new that would also save money, so he started messing around with priceline for hotels. On our Florida trip Steve got us a super nice and fun hotel/resort...the Mona Lisa in Orlando for $79 on priceline but the price if you were to walk in and get it was $399 plus resort fees and taxes. This weekend we got a downtown Marriott for $29 on priceline.com. This is so fun getting these deals that really let us get out more...we have more plans in the making now!
The kids of course loved playing in the water at the hotel.
Okay off the top of my head I can count 10 military bases in the state of Georgia...4 of them in Atlanta. We popped into Dobbins AFB while downtown...did you know they share the land 1/2 and 1/2 with the Navy? That would be so weird to be in the Navy and then stationed at Naval Air Station Atlanta....no water here.

hmmmm, good idea! I am not sure why, but Priceline.com intimidates me, I have not been there though in a long time, ! We have a college student graduating soon, who knows what we might find! Oh, and since you are in the Atlanta area, check out Restaurant.com. Sign up for their newsletter and you can get $25 and $50 gift certificates for less than $10. Great for some of the nicer restaurants.
Smiles!
Oh how fun! We love to get away for the weekend. We took the day yesterday and played tourist in a little town not far from us. Lots of fun! I think we might have to try out Priceline :o)

So glad you guys had fun with a big ole' capital F!!! We are lucky ladies with our fun hubbies, that's for sure! Jason and I pulled B from school and hit Dave and Busters right before he left, too! Great minds think alike!
Love the pics. So fun to see the kiddos. Boy they are growing up quickly! Miss you guys. Give them big hugs and high fives from us~ L
Hi,
My first visit to your blog was your Grandma's caramel recipe. Anything with sweentened condensed milk has got to be good...I can eat that out of the can!! Once I saw your blog, I've back ever since. Maybe it was the military connection too, but I love it. I had to leave a comment today for the first time when I saw Ft. McPherson. I lived there too from age 3-6 when my dad was stationed there in the '60's. We didn't live on post...we lived on Fleetwood Circle. Too funny the things we remember. Thanks for sparking a memory.
